God shows his love for us in so many ways every day, every hour, every minute and every second.
The first and most important act of love was that HE GAVE HIS SON, Jesus, so that we would have everlasting life. This was the ultimate sacrifice that has ever been made in the name of love. He did this to show his love toward us, even while we were sinners.
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”- John 3:16
When we accept Christ, we get a new life. God loves us so much that he not only gave his son so we would have eternal life, but he washed our sins away to give us another chance, a new life in Christ.
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!”- 2 Corinthians 5:17
He Carries Our Troubles
God encourages us to cast all our cares on him, because he cares for us. What a compassionate God we serve. He wants to carry our burdens. He wants us to trust him enough to give our cares to him. Just like our children come to us when something is wrong, that is how God wants us to come to him.
“Give your burdens to the LORD, and he will take care of you. He will not permit the godly to slip and fall.”- Psalm 55:22
God shows his love as he forgives us everyday. He shows us how to forgive others and he continually forgives us for the wrongs we do and he continues to love us no matter what the sin.
“But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness”- 1 John 1:9
There is nothing that we cannot share with God. He can be our most intimate friend with whom we can share anything. We can go to him with our problems, our hurts, pain, fears, and shortcomings. And if we go to him in true repentance and a changed heart, nothing will separate us from his love.
“No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you.”-John 15:15
Sometimes God blesses us just because he wants to. We have not done anything great or wonderful to deserve the goodness of God, but he sees us as wonderful through the blood of Jesus, and deserving of a blessing.
“For by works of the law no human being will be justified in his sight, since through the law comes knowledge of sin. But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it — the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction: for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus” – Romans 3:20-24
Although there may be suffering in life, Our Father doesn’t want to see us in pain and hurting. He heals our broken bodies and minds. He loves us so much that when we seek him out, he can and will heal.
“The sacrifice you desire is a broken spirit. You will not reject a broken and repentant heart, O God.”- Psalm 51:17
God shows his love for us in so many ways. His love overshadows any issues we may face in life. God loves us freely and unconditionally. He gave his most precious Son because of his love for us. His love is the greatest gift to mankind and he wants us to go out and share it with everyone.
