Making Time for Marriage...

Investing time in your marriage is the best thing you can do to demostrate you care about your marriage and love  your spouse.

Unfortunately the busyness of the day makes us overlook important aspects in our marriage that we end neglecting but in the long run the price can be very high!

Today, I'm over A Biblical Marriage sharing some thoughts on making time in Marriage.

5 Simple Ways To Reduce Your Household Expenses

Are you surprised when seeing your family expenditures every month? The expenses seem to rise every month. If you are in this situation, try these 5 recommendations before your extra paid money accumulates to a considerable amount!

1. Recycle those junk letters.
Each month, you probably receive a dozen or more letters from direct mailing companies in your mailbox. Some of these letters are printed on one side only. Why don’t you try collecting them and combine them into a writing pad? You can also use them to print draft documents or even better use them to create some art work with the kids! Besides saving money, you are also saving a lot of trees.

2. Install water saving kit in your toilet cistern.
When flushing the toilet, the amount of water used is usually more than required. By installing a water saving kit in the cistern, the amount of water saved can be as much as three gallons per month.

3. Use the fan
Whenever possible, use the fan. The air conditioner is a major contributor to your utility bill. By using the fan, not only are you saving on your utility bill. Another advantage:  you are also building up your body's tolerance to heat, so your chances of getting heat exhaustion or heat stroke during the hot summer season are greatly reduced.

4. Do not throw away that old bar of soap yet.
As your wash your hands with soap on a daily basis, the bar will become thinner and thinner until it is almost to use it. Instead of throwing it away, simply stick the old bar of soap onto the new one. (Just make sure both of them are wet when sticking them together).

5. Cut the tube of toothpaste into half.
When you can no longer squeeze out any toothpaste from the tube, just cut it in-half. There is some more toothpaste left that can last you for a couple of days if you have a large family. If you live alone or with your spouse only, the extra toothpaste can last up to five days or even more!

What real love is...

As I was asking the Lord what I should write for today's post, (I'm usually posting Marriage articles on Mondays) He reminded me of this famous piece of Scripture. We might have heard about it thousand times, yet we easily forget what REAL LOVE IS.

1 Corinthians 13:4-13

New International Version (NIV)

Love is patient, love is kind.
It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking,
it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. - (ALWAYS)

Love never fails.
But where there are prophecies, they will cease;
where there are tongues, they will be stilled;
where there is knowledge, it will pass away.

For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears.
When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me.
For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

Let us reflect on this passage today and analyse our marriages through the light of it. No, let us not analyse our husbands but us. Are we loving with REAL LOVE? are we really loving THIS way? which areas can we improve today?  :)

Remain blessed!

Welcome to the 11 th Edition of Womanhood With Purpose LINK-UP Party

I want to thank the sweet and kind bloggers that have been participating in the Friday Linkies Parties. I love reading your stories, it's always great to get to know more bloggers.

The Posts the readers chose were the following:

Rosilind from A Little R & R  shares 4 ways she's getting re-organized
The four methods she suggests: 1. Making weekly Menus 2. Making weekly shopping trips 3. Making a New chore-chart and 4.Waking up early, which she doesn't enjoy that much (who does?) but she sees great advantages in doing so. -

Mary from Visits With Mary shares and article entitled Right and Wrong in which she encourages us  with the word of God -" in John 8:32 ~ "And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."  We must know that truth in order to experience absolute freedom, absolute joy and absolute peace.  That truth is only found through Jesus Christ.   Thanks Mary!!

Mel from Essential Thing Devotions shares a beautiful and deep devotional entitled How to Spread the Gospel Through All You Do “Jesus described Himself as the light of the world also in John 8:12 – He promised that anyone who follows Him will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life. We are not in darkness, praise God! We have the light of life to guide our path through the Bible, showing us how to live (Psalm 119:105). Just as God guided the Israelites through the darkness in the wilderness with a pillar of light He will guide us as we live our lives today." Beautiful indeed,Worth Reading!  thanks for sharing!
